Waterproof flooring is constructed with the SPC (stone plastic composite) or WPC (wood plastic composite) cores that won't peel or ripple no matter how much water there is or for how long. These cores also make the product thicker and more durable. While they both offer the same ultra-high level of moisture protection, the SPC core is more firm and rigid underfoot, giving it the feeling of a hard surface like wood or stone. At the same time, WPC is semi-rigid with the warm and more flexible feeling of resilient vinyl.
Waterproof vinyl flooring has the same level of style as the original product, with images of wood, stone, and tile, created with high-definition photography to make it all vivid and accurate. Micro beveling and embossing add slanted corners, depth, dimension, and textured looks, such as the trending wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, or distressed. It can be cut into planks or tile-sized squares. In addition, these floors come with matte, gloss, and high gloss color finishes.
Like vinyl, they are low maintenance, requiring only a regular sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Installation is also easy, especially when it's a floating floor where the pieces click, mat, and hover over the subfloor without nails or glue. Subfloors need only be clean, dry, and level.
